Food For Furries

One of the major problems that all animal welfare shelters face is running out of food to feed the animals. As part of our Food for Furries initative our goal is to constantly keep track of the animal shelters that are running low and to replenish their supplies.

Equi-feeds and Bob Martins Ndebeni have come on board to help us make this possible by donating some dog food on a regular basis. Feeding Hungry Animals Today (F.H.A.T) have also provided us with extremely affordable Prices to make it possible to donate as much food as possible to the dogs and cats at animal shelters.

With the help of the animal shelters we have come up with an average of what it would cost to feed 1 animal for a year. Here is the breakdown.

Feed a dog for one year: R900

Feed a cat for one year: R 300

Please help us feed these animals. You can sponsor a whole years worth of food! Your Donation will be so greatly appreciated. There will be regular photo updates on our website to show exactly where the donations will be going and to what animal shelters they will be going to.

Alternatively if you cannot donate a years worth of food, ANY small amount will be hugely appreciated as we can use these funds to buy a few kilos of food to add to the total amount we collect and deliver on a monthly basis.

One of our smallest G.I.L Volunteers Mila along with her Mom Clarissa and Dad Bruce decided instead of presents for her 4th Birthday she was going to donate Dog food for the shelter dogs at Uitsig Animal Rescue Centre. She managed to collect over 30Kg’s of much needed food for the dogs! Well done to Clarissa and Bruce for teaching little Mila to care for animals at such a young age, a fantastic foundation to carry her through the rest of her life.
